About me

I'm Nissa LeBaron, a clinical social worker with an MSW and MSc and a mental health executive. I have a deeply held belief that honesty — the real, unflinching kind — is the most underrated tool in mental health.

I created the Fix My Sh*t series around a simple premise: you don't have to hate yourself into change, and you don't have to pretend everything is fine to accept yourself. Both of those are traps. Real growth lives in the middle — in owning your patterns clearly, loving yourself enough to want better, and being honest enough to actually do the work.
The frameworks here — CBT, ACT, DBT, mindfulness — are the same ones used in evidence-based clinical practice. The difference is that this workbook trusts you to handle them. No jargon. No performance. No skipping the hard parts.
You're not here because something is wrong with you. You're here because you give a d*mn.

That already matters.
